Abstract

This article covers the theoretical and practical foundations of the formation of reading and writing skills in the process of teaching German as a foreign language. First of all, the role of reading and writing from language competencies is analyzed, their linguistic and psycholinguistic significance. Then the strategies for the gradual development of reading skills, the methodological steps and exercises necessary in the formation of written speech are considered. Also, the advantages of teaching reading and writing in an integrated way are justified. Taking into account the psycholinguistic characteristics of Uzbek-speaking readers, the article offers special methodological approaches corresponding to their language learning process. In the summary part, however, important aspects of effective mastery of the German language are outlined through the combination of theoretical foundation and practical activity.
