Abstract

This study investigates the use of verb tenses in English and Uzbek internet dialogue. In order to understand the possible influence of linguistic and cultural elements on these patterns, it is important to recognize trends and differences in the usage of verb tenses in online communication. Discourse analysis and corpus linguistics techniques are used to undertake a corpus-based analysis utilizing a multidisciplinary approach. The results illustrate the impact of cultural and linguistic variables on online communication by revealing considerable disparities in verb tense use between the two languages. The complexity of language use in online settings is highlighted by this study, which advances our knowledge of how verb tenses are used in internet speech.
