THE RELATIONSHIP OF SOME INDICATORS OF INSULIN RESISTANCE WITH AGE IN PATIENTS SUFFERING FROM CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE

One hundred seventeen patients aged 20-69 years with stage 2-4 chronic kidney disease were examined. All patients were divided into three subgroups: 20-39 years old, 40-59 years old and 60-69 years old. Among them, correlations between the age of patients and the levels of fasting glycemia, glycosylated hemoglobin, immunoreactive insulin, and the NOME index were studied. The diagnosis of chronic kidney disease was established by the glomerular filtration rate in accordance with the KDIGO criteria. In general, among the entire group of patients included in the study (117 people), positive and reliable associations of age with all the studied indicators were revealed. However, in the subgroups, the correlation indicators had significant differences.
